Niederlenz is a small town, also called a municipality, located in the Lenzburg area of the canton of Aargau in Switzerland. It's a cool place with a long history!

History of Niederlenz
Niederlenz has been around for a very long time! The middle of the village started as a settlement way back in the Bronze Age. This was a time when people used bronze tools. Later, during the Roman era, there was a farm here.
The name 'Niederlenz' was first written down in 924 as de Lencis. Later, around 1261-1264, it was called Nider-Lenz.
For a long time, important legal decisions (called 'high justice') were made by Schloss Lenzburg. But in 1433, the city of Bern bought these rights. Later, the local villages, including Niederlenz, got to make their own smaller legal decisions. In 1480, the village got its own local government. The village even had a mill built before 1461!
Niederlenz was originally part of the Staufberg church area. The village got its own church in 1949. Then, in 1990, it became its own church parish.

Niederlenz covers an area of about 3.3 square kilometers (which is about 1.3 square miles).
