Nikolina Ristović (born Nikolina Pišek on 8 April 1973) is a well-known Croatian television presenter and actress. She has hosted many popular TV shows across the Balkans.

Nikolina Ristović: A TV Star's Journey

Early Life and Education

Nikolina was born in Zagreb, Croatia. She grew up with her mother, Nada, and a younger brother, Domagoj. As a teenager, she briefly tried modeling in Milan. However, she soon returned home to study design studies at the University of Zagreb's Faculty of Architecture.

During her university studies, Nikolina started working as a photographer for Globus magazine. She also began writing a fashion column for the magazine. After graduating, she worked as a set designer for some theater shows. This included Madama Butterfly at the Croatian National Theatre in Osijek. Later, she also worked on making music videos.

Starting Her TV Career

Nikolina's television career began in 2003. She was hired by producer Siniša Svilan to co-host an entertainment show on HRT. This show was called Glamour Cafe. It focused on entertainment, gossip, and lifestyle.

After Glamour Cafe ended, Nikolina joined another HRT show called Shpitza. Here, she co-hosted with Danijel Despot. In March 2007, she hosted HRT Dora. This is the Croatian selection show for the Eurovision Song Contest. She also started getting small acting roles. One of these was in the TV series Bitange i princeze.

In late 2007, Nikolina became a contestant on Ples sa zvijezdama. This was the Croatian version of Strictly Come Dancing. Her participation made her even more famous in Croatia.

Becoming a Regional Star

In 2008, Nikolina left HRT and moved to Nova TV. This is a private TV station in Croatia. She joined the team of hosts for Red Carpet. She eventually got her own version of the show, called Red Carpet Light.

Her biggest career moment came in late 2008. She was chosen as one of four hosts for Operacija Trijumf. This was a version of Star Academy for five Balkan countries. It was a huge reality singing contest. It aired on six different TV networks. Hosting this popular show made her very well-known across the Balkans. This also opened up new career chances outside Croatia. For example, she co-hosted the 2009 Pjesma Mediterana festival in Budva. She also had a recurring acting role in a Serbian sitcom.

Throughout 2009 and 2010, she continued working on Nova TV. She was a studio co-host for seasons 2 and 3 of the Farma reality show. She also took over hosting IN magazin [hr]. In late 2010, she joined the Croatian daily soap opera Najbolje godine. She appeared in 89 episodes of the show until June 2011.

Recent TV Shows

In 2011, Nikolina worked with Serbian folk-pop singer Saša Kovačević. They released a song called "Idemo do mene." She then moved to Serbia to work for RTV Pink.

From 2012 to 2013, she hosted a dating show called Sami u tami on Prva TV. In 2016, she hosted the showbiz magazine Exkluziv for the same channel. From 2013 to 2014, Nikolina was one of the hosts of Bulevar B92 on TV B92. In 2018, she worked for Happy TV. There, she hosted the first season of the quiz show Soba sreće.

Since September 2022, Nikolina has been a host of the talk show Donna. This show airs on Una TV, a regional channel. In 2023, Nikolina returned to Croatian television. She became the host of the second season of the Croatian Masked Singer on RTL Televizija.

Family Life

In 1997, Nikolina had a daughter named Hana with journalist Mark Cigoj.

In September 2013, Nikolina married Vidoje Ristović. She then moved to Belgrade, Serbia. They had a baby girl in 2014. Sadly, Vidoje passed away in May 2022.
