Noah Quinn Gragson (born July 15, 1998) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He currently races full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series. He drives the No. 4 Ford Mustang Dark Horse for Front Row Motorsports.

Noah Gragson's Racing Journey
Starting Out in Racing
Noah Gragson began his racing career at 13 years old. He started in Bandolero cars at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Bullring. Later, he moved on to compete in late model cars. He also raced in the INEX Legends car racing series. In 2014, he won the Young Lion Road Course championship in that series.
Racing in Regional Series
ARCA Menards Series West Races
In 2015, Noah joined Jefferson Pitts Racing. He raced in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West. In his very first race, he finished third. He then won his first race at Tucson Speedway. Later that season, he won again at Meridian Speedway.
In his first year, Noah finished second in the overall points. He also won the Rookie of the Year award. He was the ninth driver in the series to achieve both. Noah returned to the West Series for one race in 2019. He also raced in 2024 for Rette Jones Racing.
K&N Pro Series East Races
Noah also competed in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East in 2015. He raced in two events that year. His best finish was eighth at Watkins Glen International.
ARCA Racing Series Races
Noah raced in the ARCA Racing Series from 2015 to 2018. He drove for different teams like Mason Mitchell Motorsports and Venturini Motorsports. In 2017, his best finish was fourth at Chicagoland Speedway. In 2018, he started from the pole position at Pocono Raceway. He led many laps and finished tenth.
In 2024, Noah returned to ARCA with Rette Jones Racing. He raced at Watkins Glen International.
NASCAR Truck Series Career
Noah started racing in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in 2016. He drove for Wauters Motorsports. In 2017, he joined Kyle Busch Motorsports.
In 2017, he earned his first Truck Series win at Martinsville Speedway. He passed Matt Crafton with only 10 laps left. He finished tenth in the points standings that year.
Noah continued with Kyle Busch Motorsports in 2018. He won his second career race at Kansas Speedway. He led most of the race, showing his strong driving skills. During a race at Pocono Raceway, Noah felt sick and couldn't race. Erik Jones filled in for him. Noah still competed for the championship and finished second in points.
NASCAR Xfinity Series Career
Early Xfinity Races
Noah made his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut in 2018. He raced for Joe Gibbs Racing in three events.
Success with JR Motorsports
In 2019, Noah joined JR Motorsports full-time. He drove the No. 9 Chevrolet. He had a great rookie year, earning many top-five and top-ten finishes. He made it into the Playoffs.
In 2020, Noah won the season-opening race at Daytona International Speedway. He had a strong year with many top finishes. He finished fifth in the points standings.
Noah continued with JR Motorsports in 2021. He won races at Darlington Raceway and Richmond Raceway. He also won at Martinsville, which helped him reach the Championship 4. He finished third in the points.
The 2022 season was amazing for Noah. He won eight races, including at Phoenix Raceway, Talladega Superspeedway, and Pocono Raceway. He won four races in a row, which was a big achievement. He finished second in the championship to Ty Gibbs.
Part-time Racing in 2024
In 2024, Noah raced part-time in the Xfinity Series. He drove the new No. 30 car for Rette Jones Racing. He had good results, including a top-10 finish at Charlotte and a top-5 finish at Nashville.
NASCAR Cup Series Career
Starting in the Cup Series
Noah tried to make his NASCAR Cup Series debut in the 2021 Daytona 500. He drove for Beard Motorsports. Unfortunately, he crashed in a qualifying race and did not make it into the main event.
He successfully qualified for the 2022 Daytona 500. He also shared the No. 16 Cup car for Kaulig Racing. In his second Cup Series start at Atlanta Motor Speedway, he had a hard crash. Later that year, he earned his best Cup Series finish of fifth at the Daytona International Speedway. He also filled in for injured driver Alex Bowman in five races for Hendrick Motorsports.
Rookie Season and Challenges in 2023
In 2023, Noah became a full-time Cup Series driver. He drove the No. 42 for Legacy Motor Club. He had a challenging rookie year. At Kansas Speedway, he had a disagreement with another driver, Ross Chastain. In August 2023, Noah was suspended by NASCAR and his team due to a social media issue that went against their rules for driver conduct. He later asked to leave his contract to focus on getting back to racing. By September 2023, NASCAR lifted his suspension after he completed special training.
Racing for Stewart–Haas Racing in 2024
In December 2023, Noah signed with Stewart–Haas Racing to drive the No. 10 car for the 2024 season. He started 2024 strong with a ninth-place finish at the Daytona 500. He later achieved a career-best third-place finish at Talladega Superspeedway. Stewart–Haas Racing announced that it would close its NASCAR operations at the end of the 2024 season.
Joining Front Row Motorsports in 2025
In July 2024, Noah signed a new deal with Front Row Motorsports. He began driving the No. 4 car for them in 2025.
Other Racing Adventures
Late Model Racing
Noah has also had success in late model racing. In 2017, he won the Winchester 400. In 2018, he won the prestigious Snowball Derby. After his suspension in 2023, he raced late model cars for Rette Jones Racing.
Pinty's Series Races
Noah also raced in the NASCAR Pinty's Series. He did this to get more experience and improve his driving skills. He also worked with a sports psychologist to help with his mental game. He raced in the Pinty's Series again in 2023 for Rette Jones Racing.
Noah Gragson's Personal Life
Noah Gragson comes from a family with a history in Las Vegas. His great-grandfather, Oran K. Gragson, was the longest-serving mayor of Las Vegas, Nevada. Noah's grandfather and father were also important real estate developers in the city.
Noah faced challenges in school because of dyslexia and a learning disability. He attended the Army and Navy Academy for two years. He finished high school online. Noah enjoys downhill mountain biking and playing video games like Fortnite.
