History of Northwood
Northwood was officially started in the year 1884.
The 2007 Tornado
On August 26, 2007, a very powerful tornado hit Northwood. This tornado was rated EF4, which means it was extremely strong. It caused a lot of damage to buildings all over the town. Sadly, one person died because of the storm. After the tornado, many buildings were so badly damaged that they had to be torn down or rebuilt. The people of Northwood worked hard to recover from this natural disaster.
