The Church of St. Niklaus
The Church of St. Niklaus is located just outside and above the village. It's surrounded by a low wall that encloses the church, the rectory (where the priest lives), barns, and an ossuary (a place for bones).
The church was built in 1474. Later, in 1852, the main part of the church, called the nave, was made wider. Inside, you can see beautiful late-Gothic murals, which are paintings on the walls. These murals show stories about Mary, the mother of Jesus, the Last Judgement, and images of Apostles and Saints.
