Starting Your Hike

The best place to begin your hike is at the Icehouse Canyon trailhead. This is where Forest Service Trail 7W07 starts. This trail will lead you through beautiful scenery.

Reaching the Summit

From Icehouse Canyon, you will hike to a spot called Icehouse Saddle. From there, the Ontario Peak Trail begins. This trail goes directly to the very top of the mountain. The entire round trip is about 13 miles (21 kilometers) long. Hikers will gain about 4,100 feet (1,250 meters) in elevation. This means you will climb quite a bit!
