Pam Oliver is a well-known American sports reporter. She is famous for her work on the sidelines during many National Basketball Association (NBA) and National Football League (NFL) games. She talks to players and coaches right from the field or court.

Early Life and School Days
Pam Oliver was born in Dallas, Texas. When she was growing up, she went to Niceville High School in Niceville, Florida. She was a very talented athlete there. Pam was excellent at tennis, basketball, and track and field.
After high school, she went to Florida A&M University. She continued to be a star athlete in college. Pam was recognized as an All-American. This means she was one of the best college athletes in the country. She earned this honor in both the 400-meter race and the mile relay.
Pam Oliver's Career in Sports Reporting
Pam Oliver started her career in broadcasting in 1985. Her first job was at a TV station called WALB in Albany, Georgia. She worked there as a news reporter. The next year, she moved to WAAY-TV in Huntsville, Alabama.
After that, Pam moved to WIVB-TV in Buffalo, New York in 1988. Two years later, in 1990, she joined WTVT in Tampa, Florida. This is where she began her journey as a sports anchor in 1991. Later, she moved to KHOU-TV in Houston, where she continued to report on sports.
Joining ESPN and Fox Sports
In 1993, Pam Oliver joined ESPN, a big sports television network. Then, in 1995, she moved to Fox Sports. At Fox, she became a sideline reporter. She worked with the network's top broadcasting team. This team included famous commentators Pat Summerall and John Madden.
From 2005 to 2009, Pam also worked for TNT. She was a sideline reporter for their coverage of the NBA Playoffs.
Continuing Her Work at Fox
On July 14, 2014, Fox changed her role slightly. She moved to the network's second-best NFL broadcasting team. Another reporter, Erin Andrews, took over as the sideline reporter for the top team.
In early 2015, Fox decided to keep Pam Oliver as a sideline reporter. She continued to work with the second team through the 2016 season. Pam has kept this role and is still working as a sideline reporter as of the 2024 NFL season. For most of the 2023 season, she was with the number two team. However, for one game in Week 6 of 2023, she worked with the number three team. That game was between the Lions and the Buccaneers. She worked alongside Adam Amin and Daryl Johnston for that broadcast.
