Paris Johnson Jr. (born July 3, 2001) is a professional football player in the National Football League (NFL). He plays as an offensive tackle for the Arizona Cardinals. Paris played college football at Ohio State University. The Cardinals picked him as the sixth player overall in the 2023 NFL draft. His dad, Paris Johnson, was also a football player and coach.

Growing Up and High School
Paris Johnson Jr. was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on July 3, 2001. He went to St. Xavier High School for a while. Later, he moved to Princeton High School for his senior year in 2019. While there, he won the Anthony Muñoz Award, which is given to top high school linemen. Paris was considered the best offensive tackle in his high school class of 2020. He decided to play college football at Ohio State University.
College Football Career
Paris started his college career at Ohio State in 2020. As a freshman, he played in five games. He even played as an offensive guard in the 2021 College Football Playoff National Championship because of an injury to another player. The next year, he started every game as the right guard.
In 2022, during his junior year, Paris moved to play left tackle. This is a very important position on the offensive line. He played so well that he was named a consensus All-American. This means he was recognized as one of the best college football players in the country by multiple groups.

The Arizona Cardinals chose Paris Johnson Jr. as the sixth overall player in the 2023 NFL Draft. To get this high draft pick, the Cardinals made a trade with the Detroit Lions. They gave up some of their other draft picks to get the Lions' sixth overall pick. This showed how much the Cardinals wanted Paris on their team.
As a rookie in the 2023 season, Paris started every single game for the Cardinals. He played as the right tackle. After the team released their long-time starting left tackle, D. J. Humphries, Paris was named the Cardinals' new starting left tackle. This is a big responsibility for a young player.
