Park Ridge is a suburb in Queensland, Australia. It is part of the City of Logan, located south of the Brisbane metropolitan area. In 2021, about 8,455 people lived in Park Ridge.

Exploring Park Ridge's Location
Park Ridge is found to the west of Logan City. It has a lovely rural feel with large properties and lots of bushland. Park Ridge Road cuts through the suburb from east to west. The Mount Lindesay Highway forms its western border, and Chambers Flat Road is on its eastern side.
A Look Back at Park Ridge's History
Park Ridge used to be called Logan Ridges. But in the early 1890s, the local post office changed the name. They wanted to show how many parks and green spaces were in the area.
The first settlers came from Yorkshire. In the 1890s, they mainly worked in timber-getting and farming. These jobs were important into the early 1900s. Later, people tried growing tobacco, but it didn't last long. Eventually, poultry farming became a big industry. A company called Ingham's Chickens became a major employer in the area.
Schools Opening in Park Ridge
Park Ridge Provisional School first opened its doors on April 23, 1895. It was located between Rosia Road and Hillcrest Road. In 1909, it became a state school. The original school building had problems with white ants. So, in 1915, the school moved to its current location. The building they moved into had been the Browns Plains Provision School.
Park Ridge State High School opened on January 29, 1991.
In 1996, about 1,549 people lived in Park Ridge. Most homes (71%) were owned by the people living in them.
Saint Philomena School opened on February 2, 1999. It is built on about 11 acres of rural land. This school is connected with the Society of St Pius X.
Parklands Christian College opened on April 11, 2001.

- Park Ridge State High School is a government high school for students from Year 7 to Year 12. It is located at 14–30 Lancewood Street (27°42′01″S 153°02′01″E / 27.7003°S 153.0337°E). In 2017, 1176 students were enrolled here. It also has a special education program.
