How Chambers Flat Got Its Name
Chambers Flat got its name from John Chambers. He started farming here in 1848. Before that, other farms were set up in the 1840s.
Early Schools in Chambers Flat
A school called Chambers Flat Provisional School opened on October 27, 1890. Miss Mary Curran was its first head teacher. It became Chambers Flat State School in 1909. However, it closed down on August 3, 1921. The old school was on a 10-acre site on Holloway Road.
Changes in Local Government
Chambers Flat used to be part of the Shire of Beaudesert. But in March 2008, it became part of Logan City. This happened when local governments in the area were combined.
King's Christian College
King's Christian College opened a new campus in Chambers Flat in 2020. They call it the Logan Village campus. This school first started in Reedy Creek in 1980. They opened another campus in Pimpama in 2015.
