Exploring Reedy Creek's Landscape
Hills, Creeks, and Homes
Reedy Creek is found inland, away from the coast, in the southern part of the Gold Coast. It's a place where many families live, and new homes are often being built.
The land here goes from being quite low, about 10 meters above sea level in the north, to much higher, over 190 meters in the south. The Reedy Creek waterway starts in the southern hills and flows through the suburb. It then goes under the M1 motorway and into Varsity Lakes.
Most of the land in Reedy Creek is used for homes. You'll find schools mainly in the northern part, closer to the M1. Because the area has hills and creeks, some parts are still natural and undeveloped.

In 2000, the Reedy Creek Baptist Church was built. It replaced an older church that had been in Palm Beach since 1928. The original Palm Beach church was the first one in that area.

Roads and Railways
Reedy Creek is bordered on its north-east side by the Pacific Motorway, also known as the M1. This is a major highway. Old Coach Road forms part of its eastern border.
In 2009, the Gold Coast railway line was extended. A train station was built in Varsity Lakes, which is just across the M1 from Reedy Creek. A four-lane bridge and a special walkway for people were built to connect Reedy Creek directly to the train station. This makes it easier for people to travel by train.
