Patrick Queen (born August 13, 1999) is an American professional football player. He plays as a linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the National Football League (NFL). Patrick played college football for the LSU Tigers. The Baltimore Ravens chose him as the 28th pick in the 2020 NFL draft.

Early Life and High School Football
Patrick Queen grew up in Ventress, Louisiana. He is the youngest of four children and the only son. He started playing football in middle school. Later, he went to Livonia High School. There, he played both as a linebacker and a running back.
Patrick was part of Livonia High School's football team that won a state championship in 2014. In his senior year (2016), he was amazing on both offense and defense. He ran for 1,487 yards and scored 19 touchdowns. On defense, he made 66 tackles and broke up six passes.
College Football Career at LSU
Patrick Queen joined the LSU Tigers in 2017. As a freshman, he played in 12 games and made six tackles. In his second year, he had 40 tackles and one sack.
His junior year in 2019 was his best. He made 85 tackles and had 3 sacks. LSU had an incredible season, winning the National Championship. Patrick was named the Defensive MVP of the championship game. He made eight tackles and had 2.5 tackles for loss in that big game. After this successful season, Patrick decided to enter the 2020 NFL draft early.

Professional NFL Career
Patrick Queen was a top player coming out of college. He was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

2020 Season Highlights

Patrick Queen started his NFL career strong. In his first game, he had eight tackles, a sack, and forced a fumble. In Week 5, he had a huge game against the Cincinnati Bengals. He recovered a fumble and ran it back 53 yards for a touchdown! For this great performance, he was named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week. He finished his rookie season starting all 16 games. He had 106 tackles and was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team.
2021 and 2022 Seasons
In 2021, Patrick changed his jersey number from 48 to 6. He started all 17 games that season. He made 98 tackles and had two sacks. In 2022, he continued to be a key player. He started all 17 games again. He recorded 117 tackles, five sacks, and two interceptions.
2023 Season and Pro Bowl
Before the 2023 season, the Ravens decided not to pick up his fifth-year option. This meant he could become a free agent after the season. However, Patrick had his best year yet! He set a career high with 133 total tackles. His excellent play earned him his first Pro Bowl selection.
Joining the Pittsburgh Steelers
On March 15, 2024, Patrick Queen signed a three-year contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The contract was worth $41 million.
He quickly made an impact with his new team. In a game against the Raiders, he had 13 tackles. In Week 11, he played against his former team, the Baltimore Ravens. He had 10 tackles and forced a fumble, which he also recovered. This play helped the Steelers score a field goal. He continued to be a strong tackler for the Steelers throughout the season.
