The Water's Journey: Inflows and Outflows

Water is always on the move, and Pearson Lake is a great example. The main river that flows into Pearson Lake is the Skootamatta River. This river comes from Joeperry Lake, which is to the northwest. There's also a marshy area at the north end of Pearson Lake. This marsh forms another connection to Joeperry Lake.

The Skootamatta River also flows out of Pearson Lake. It leaves the lake at the southeast side. From there, the river continues its journey towards Skootamatta Lake. Eventually, the Skootamatta River joins the larger Moira River. The Moira River then flows into the Bay of Quinte. The Bay of Quinte is a part of Lake Ontario near Belleville. So, the water from Pearson Lake travels a long way!
