Pedro Lomba Neto (born on March 9, 2000) is a Portuguese professional footballer. He plays as a winger for the English club Chelsea and the Portugal national team.

Pedro started his career at Braga in Portugal. He was then loaned to the Italian club Lazio in 2017. In 2019, he joined Wolverhampton Wanderers in England, where he faced some injuries. In August 2024, he moved to Chelsea.

He has also played for Portugal's national youth teams. Pedro made his debut for the senior Portugal team in November 2020, scoring in his very first game. He was also chosen to play in the UEFA Euro 2024 tournament.

Club Career

Playing for Braga

Pedro Neto was born in Viana do Castelo, Portugal. He joined Braga's youth football system when he was 13 years old. On May 7, 2017, he played his first professional game for Braga's reserve team. He came on as a substitute in a match against Porto B.

The next weekend, he played his first game for Braga's main team in the Primeira Liga. He scored a goal just a few minutes after coming onto the field. This made him the youngest player ever to score for the club in that league.

On August 31, 2017, Pedro and his teammate Bruno Jordão were loaned to Lazio in Italy for two years. He played his first game in Italy's top league, Serie A, on January 27, 2019.

On August 2, 2019, Pedro Neto signed with Wolverhampton Wanderers, often called Wolves. He played his first game for them 12 days later in a UEFA Europa League match. He scored a goal and helped set up another in a 4-0 win. A few days later, he made his first appearance in the Premier League.

Pedro's first start in the Premier League was on September 28, 2019. He helped his team score the first goal in a 2-0 win against Watford. On January 1, 2020, he scored his first Premier League goal for Wolves. He became the first teenager to score for the club in the Premier League.

On October 4, 2020, Pedro scored his first league goal of the 2020–21 season in a 1-0 win against Fulham. A month later, he signed a new contract with the club until 2025.

He was named the Sky Sports' player of the match in a game against Arsenal on November 29, 2020. He scored one goal and helped create another in a 2-1 victory. This was Wolves' first away win against Arsenal since 1979.

Pedro suffered a serious knee injury on April 9, 2021. This injury kept him out of play for the rest of that season and most of the next. He returned to action on February 20, 2022, as a substitute in a 2-1 win against Leicester City.

On his 22nd birthday, March 9, 2022, Pedro signed another new contract, this time until 2027. On May 22, he scored his first goal since his injury in a match against Liverpool.

Pedro played his 100th game for Wolves on September 17, 2022. The next month, he got an ankle injury that needed surgery. This kept him out for almost five months. He returned to play on March 4, 2023, in a 1-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur.

On October 21, 2023, Pedro played his 100th Premier League match. He also helped set up a goal in a 2-1 win against Bournemouth. On January 28, 2024, he scored his first ever FA Cup goal in a 2-0 win against West Bromwich Albion.

On November 5, 2020, he was called up to the senior national team for the first time. He made his debut on November 11 in a 7-0 friendly win against Andorra. He scored the first goal in that game. This made him the first player born in the 2000s to play for Portugal's senior team.

Pedro missed the 2022 FIFA World Cup because of an injury he got while playing for his club. Even with some injuries in the following years, he was chosen for UEFA Euro 2024.
