Percy Creek is a cool stream located in Ontario, Canada. It flows through two areas: Trent Hills and Alnwick/Haldimand. These places are part of Northumberland County. This creek is part of the huge Great Lakes Basin. It flows into the Trent River.

Percy Creek got its name from Elizabeth Percy, Duchess of Northumberland. She was an important person in history.

Where is Percy Creek?

Percy Creek is found in Central Ontario. This part of Ontario is known for its beautiful nature. The creek starts in a place called Alnwick/Haldimand. It then travels through Trent Hills.

Its Starting Point

Percy Creek begins in an unnamed marsh. A marsh is a type of wetland, like a swamp. This starting point is about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) south of a community called Roseneath. This area is in geographic Alnwick Township.

The Creek's Journey

From the marsh, Percy Creek flows towards the northeast. It passes through parts of the Alderville First Nation lands. Then, it enters geographic Percy Township in Trent Hills.

The creek reaches its farthest northern point near a community called Brickley. After that, it turns and flows south.

Along the Way

As it flows south, Percy Creek goes through Dartford Pond. There's a special dam there with a fish ladder. A fish ladder helps fish swim upstream past the dam.

The creek then goes under a bridge for County Road 24 in Dartford. It then turns east.

It passes under County Road 25 and over a small dam. Another small stream, Burnley Creek, joins Percy Creek from the right. This is called a tributary.

Reaching the Trent River

After Burnley Creek joins, Percy Creek turns north. It flows into geographic Seymour Township. It goes under County Road 30.

Finally, Percy Creek reaches its end point. It flows into the Trent River at a community called Meyersburg. The Trent River then flows into the Bay of Quinte, which is part of Lake Ontario.
