Peter Schindler (born April 26, 1960) is a talented German composer, pianist, and organist. He also plays the keyboard and writes books. His main passion is creating music for the musical theatre.

Peter Schindler's Early Life and Music Journey
Peter Schindler was born in a town called Altensteig, located in the beautiful Black Forest region of Germany. From a young age, he showed a great gift for music. He started taking piano lessons very early, and later he also learned to play the organ.
He continued his musical education at the School of Church Music in Rottenburg am Neckar from 1973 to 1976. After that, he moved to Stuttgart. There, he studied "School Music" and Musical composition at the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart. He also studied Jazz and Pop music until 1988, learning even more about different music styles.

Peter Schindler is a very active musician. He plays the organ and piano with different groups and solo artists. He often performs his own music, both in Germany and in other countries. Peter Schindler has a special love for musical theatre. From 1987 to 1989, while he was still studying, he worked at the town theater in Heilbronn. He was a "répétiteur," which means he helped singers and musicians practice and prepare for performances.

- 2000: He won the Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik (German Record Critics' Award) for the CD "Suites" with his group "Pipes and Phones."
- 2001: "Pipes and Phones" also won a special award called "Best Group" at the "International Contest for Jazz and Churchorgan" in Hannover.
- 2006: He received another Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik with his group "Hoppel Hoppel Rhythm Club."
- 2006: He won the First Seoul Prize for his compositions and performance of the dance show "Soul, Sunflower" with the National Theater of Korea.
- 2007: He received the Kleinkunstpreis Baden-Württemberg for his chanson program "Rosenzeit – Liebesleid" with singer Sandra Hartmann.
- 2007: His musical Weihnachten fällt aus (Christmas is Cancelled) won "Best Edition" in the category for school and teaching literature for children and young people at the Deutscher Musikeditionspreis (German Music Edition Award).
