Philadelphia is a small community in the state of Missouri, in the United States. It's located in the western part of Marion County. You can find it about 12 miles west of a town called Palmyra, right along Missouri Route 168. Philadelphia is also part of the larger Hannibal Micropolitan Statistical Area.
This community was officially planned out in 1835. It got its name from the much bigger city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. People have been sending mail from a post office in Philadelphia, Missouri, since 1847.
In 2020, Philadelphia was counted as a "census-designated place" for the first time. At that time, its population was 206 people.

Philadelphia is located in the western part of Marion County, Missouri. It is about 12 miles west of Palmyra, which is the main town of the county. Other nearby towns include Monroe City (16 miles south) and Shelbyville (18 miles east). Ewing is about 13 miles north.
The largest city in Marion County is Hannibal. Hannibal is about 25 miles southeast of Philadelphia, located along the Mississippi River.
