Pierre Carmelle Warren was born on August 16, 1992. He is a former American football player. He played as a safety, a position that helps defend against passes. Pierre played college football at Jacksonville State University. He was also a member of the New Orleans Saints, Minnesota Vikings, and Ottawa Redblacks.

Early Life and High School Football
Pierre Warren grew up in Deatsville, Alabama. He played high school football at Marbury High School. He was a very good player. He was chosen for the all-metro team twice. As a senior, he was also an all-county player.
Warren played football for four years in high school. He was a starter for three of those years. He helped his team, the Bulldogs, reach the state playoffs. Besides football, Pierre also played basketball. He was named his team's Most Valuable Player in basketball.
College Football Career
Pierre Warren played college football for the Jacksonville State Gamecocks. He played there from 2011 to 2013. During his college career, he made 166 tackles. A tackle is when a player stops an opponent with the ball.
He also had eight interceptions. An interception is when a defensive player catches a pass meant for an offensive player. Two of his interceptions were returned for touchdowns! He also broke up 29 passes and recovered five fumbles. In 2013, he was named First Team All-OVC. This means he was one of the best players in his college conference.
Professional Football Journey
Starting in the NFL
After college, Pierre Warren hoped to join the NFL. He was not chosen in the 2014 NFL Draft. This means he was an "undrafted free agent." Even so, the New Orleans Saints signed him on May 12, 2014.
He later joined the Saints' practice squad. A practice squad is a group of players who practice with the team. They can be called up to play in games if needed. He was released by the Saints in September 2014.
Time with the Minnesota Vikings
On October 7, 2014, Pierre Warren was signed to the Minnesota Vikings' practice squad. He continued to train and improve his skills with the Vikings.
Return to the New Orleans Saints
Warren was signed back by the New Orleans Saints on November 18, 2014. This time, he was moved from the practice squad to the main team. He made his first NFL appearance on November 24, 2014. He started a game against the Baltimore Ravens and made seven tackles.
On December 15, 2014, he had a great game against the Chicago Bears. He made his first two career interceptions in that game! The Saints released him again on September 5, 2015.
Playing in Canada
On February 3, 2016, Pierre Warren signed a contract with the Ottawa Redblacks of the CFL. The CFL is Canada's professional football league. After practicing with the team, he decided he no longer wanted to play professional football.
In 2017, Warren also played in The Spring League. This is a development league for players hoping to get back into the NFL or CFL.
