The Former Golf Club Site
The land where the Pike Creek Golf Club used to be has been part of a discussion about building new homes. This golf club was once known as Three Little Bakers Golf Club. It operated as an 18-hole course from 1971 to 2010. It also had a bar, restaurant, and a dinner theater.
In 2013, a judge decided that the owners of the land should keep 130 acres of it as open space, which could still be used as a golf course. Later, in 2021, the Delaware Supreme Court supported an earlier decision. This decision meant that the 130 acres would not be officially designated as open space. This change reduced the number of new homes that could be built on the site.
