Pikmin 3 is an exciting video game made by Nintendo for the Wii U console. It's a real-time strategy game, which means you make quick decisions to control characters and win. This game is the third one in the popular Pikmin series. It came out in Japan on July 13, 2013, in Europe on July 26, 2013, and in North America on August 4, 2013.

What is Pikmin 3?
Pikmin 3 continues the fun gameplay from the earlier Pikmin games. You get to control up to 100 tiny plant-like creatures called Pikmin. Your job is to use these Pikmin to pick up objects, reach new areas, and fight against different enemies.
Playable Characters
In this game, you can play as three different characters. They are Alph, Brittany, and Charlie. Each character helps you manage your Pikmin and explore the world.
Types of Pikmin
The game features five types of Pikmin from Pikmin 2:
- Red Pikmin: They are strong and resistant to fire.
- Yellow Pikmin: They can be thrown higher and are immune to electricity.
- Blue Pikmin: They can breathe underwater.
- Purple Pikmin: They are heavy and strong.
- White Pikmin: They are fast and can find hidden items.
Two brand-new types of Pikmin join the adventure in Pikmin 3:
- Rock Pikmin: These tough Pikmin can smash through strong barriers. They are very useful for clearing paths.
- Winged Pikmin: These pink Pikmin can fly! They are great for attacking enemies in the air. They can also carry items over gaps.
How to Play
You can control the game using either the Wii U GamePad or a combination of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk.

The Wii U GamePad has a special touch screen. This screen shows you a map of the game world. It helps you see where your Pikmin are and plan your next moves.
