Where is Pine Ridge?
Pine Ridge is located in the middle of DeKalb County. It is next to the city of Fort Payne on its east side. To the northwest, it borders the city of Rainsville.
The town is in the Ridge and Valley part of the Appalachian Mountains. It sits on several low ridges and valleys. These include Middle Ridge, Dugout Valley, and Shinbone Ridge. The town also touches the eastern edge of Sand Mountain. Sand Mountain is a part of the Cumberland Plateau.
Alabama State Route 35 goes through Pine Ridge. This road connects Fort Payne and Rainsville. You can also reach Pine Ridge from Interstate 59 by taking Exit 218. This exit is about 2 miles east of the town.
The U.S. Census Bureau says the town covers about 3.4 square kilometers (1.3 square miles). All of this area is land.
