Where is Plymouth, Illinois?
Plymouth is in the southeastern part of Hancock County. A tiny bit of the village also stretches into the southwest corner of McDonough County.
Getting Around Plymouth
Illinois Route 61 is a main road that goes right through the village. If you head northeast on this road for about 4.5 miles (7.2 km), you'll reach Colmar. If you go southwest for about 5 miles (8 km), you'll find Augusta. The county seat of Hancock County, Carthage, is about 21 miles (34 km) northwest of Plymouth.

The water in the area flows into two creeks, Bronson Creek and Flour Creek. Both of these creeks eventually join the La Moine River, which is part of the larger Illinois River system.
