The Prime Minister of Serbia and Montenegro was a very important leader. This person was the head of government for the country called Serbia and Montenegro. This role existed from 1992 until the country split up in 2006.
From 1992 to 2003, the leader was called the President of the Federal Government of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. After some big changes in 2003, the title became Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Serbia and Montenegro. In 2003, this job was combined with the job of the President of Serbia and Montenegro. This meant one person held both top positions.
Who were the Prime Ministers?
There were five leaders of the Federal Government of Yugoslavia. This was after the country became independent from the old SFR Yugoslavia in 1992.
Svetozar Marović was the only Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Serbia and Montenegro. He took office after the country changed its government structure in 2003. He started his role on March 7, 2003. When Montenegro became an independent country on June 3, 2006, his job as chairman ended the next day.
