The Province of El Loa is a special area in northern Chile. It's one of three provinces in the Antofagasta area. This province gets its name from the Loa River, which is the longest river in Chile! The main city and capital of El Loa province is Calama.

Where is El Loa Province?
El Loa province covers a large area of about 41,999.6 square kilometers. That's a lot of land!
It shares borders with different places:
- To the north, it's next to the Tarapacá region.
- To the east, it borders the country of Bolivia.
- To the southeast and south, it touches Argentina.
- To the west, it's next to the Antofagasta province.
- To the northwest, it borders the Tocopilla province.

How Many People Live Here?
