Qulin (pronounced KEW-lin) is a small city in Butler County, located in the southeastern part of Missouri, United States. In 2020, the city had a population of 460 people. Qulin is part of the larger Poplar Bluff area.

History of Qulin
A post office was first opened in Qulin in 1881. The exact meaning or origin of the name "Qulin" is not fully known. A magazine called Reader's Digest once said that Qulin has the "most difficult to pronounce" place name in the entire state of Missouri!
Geography and Location
Qulin is found in the flat areas of southeastern Butler County. It is located where two roads, Missouri Route 51 and Missouri Route 53, meet. The city is about 13 miles southeast of a larger city called Poplar Bluff.
Two rivers are very close to Qulin. The Black River is about two miles to the west, and the St. Francis River is about two miles to the east. The border between Missouri and Arkansas is only six miles south of Qulin.
The city of Qulin covers a total area of about 0.45 square miles. All of this area is land.
