Rainy Creek is a small waterway located in Ontario, Canada. It flows through the beautiful Addington Highlands area. This creek is an important part of a larger water system. Its waters eventually join the Moira River and then flow into Lake Ontario.

Rainy Creek's Journey

Rainy Creek starts its journey in a marshy area. A marsh is a type of wetland with grassy plants. This starting point is about 349 metres (1,145 ft) above sea level. It's located north of Grimsthorpe Lake.

Where it Starts and Ends

The creek first flows south. Then, it turns east and continues in that direction. It reaches Rainy Lake at an elevation of 325 metres (1,066 ft). From there, the creek enters Bon Echo Provincial Park. This park is a popular spot for nature lovers.

The creek's journey ends when it flows into the Skootamatta River. This meeting point is about 315 metres (1,033 ft) above sea level. It's found between Joeperry Lake and Pearson Lake. The mouth of the creek is about 12.5 kilometres (7.8 mi) northwest of the community of Cloyne.

Part of a Bigger System

Rainy Creek is part of the Great Lakes Basin. This means its waters eventually contribute to the Great Lakes. The Great Lakes are a series of large freshwater lakes. They are located in North America.
