Rampart is a small community in Alaska, United States. Its name in the Koyukon language is Dleł Taaneets. It is a "census-designated place" (CDP), which means it's a community that the government counts for population but isn't officially a city or town. Rampart is located in the Yukon-Koyukuk Census Area, Alaska. In 2020, 57 people lived there.

History of Rampart
A famous writer named Rex Beach (1877-1949) moved to Rampart in 1900. This was during the time of the Klondike Gold Rush, when many people went to Alaska hoping to find gold. Rex Beach didn't find much gold himself. However, his experiences in Alaska helped him write a book called The Spoilers. This book became very popular. It was even made into a movie five different times!
In the 1950s, there was a big idea to build a huge hydroelectric dam near Rampart. This project was called the Rampart Dam. If it had been built, it would have created the largest man-made lake in the world. But many people protested against the dam. Because of these protests, the project was never started.

Rampart is located in a part of Alaska that is mostly land. The area is about 168.8 square miles (439.85 square kilometers). Two creeks, Minook Creek and Baker Creek, are close to Rampart. Minook Creek is just to the east, and Baker Creek is to the south.
