Ravel Ryan Morrison (born 2 February 1993) is a professional footballer. He plays as a midfielder for UAE Second Division League club Precision.
Morrison grew up in the youth system at Manchester United. Many people thought he was one of the most promising young players there. He played three times for Manchester United's first team. In January 2012, he joined West Ham United.
During the 2012–13 season, Morrison played on loan for Birmingham City. He also had loan spells at Queens Park Rangers and Cardiff City in 2014. He was part of the QPR team that won the 2014 Football League Championship play-off final.
In July 2015, he moved to Italian club Lazio. Later, in 2017, he returned to QPR for a loan. He then spent the 2017–18 season on loan at Mexican club Atlas. In February 2019, he joined Swedish club Östersund. He came back to England in July 2019 to play for Sheffield United. In 2020, he had a loan spell at Middlesbrough.
Ravel Morrison was born in England. He played for England's national teams at different youth levels. These included the under-16, under-17, under-18, and under-21 teams. He can also play for Jamaica because of his family background. He made his first senior international appearance for Jamaica in November 2020.

Club Career Highlights
Starting at Manchester United
Ravel Morrison began his football journey at Fletcher Moss Rangers. A former coach, Phil Brogan, first noticed him for the Manchester United Academy. Sir Alex Ferguson, the famous Manchester United manager, believed he was an amazing young talent.
Morrison became a scholar in 2009 and a professional player on his 17th birthday in 2010. He played his first game for the senior team on 26 October 2010. This was in a League Cup match against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
In April 2011, he scored the first goal against Chelsea in the FA Youth Cup semi-final. Manchester United won that game 4–0. He also scored two more goals in the Youth Cup final against Sheffield United. Manchester United won the title 6–3 overall.
Moving to West Ham United
On 31 January 2012, Morrison joined Championship club West Ham United. He signed a contract for three and a half years. Sir Alex Ferguson told West Ham manager, Sam Allardyce, that Morrison was a "brilliant footballer" with "top class ability."
Morrison made his debut for West Ham on 17 March 2012. This was in a 1–1 draw against Leeds United.
Loan to Birmingham City

To get more experience, Morrison went on loan to Birmingham City for the 2012–13 season. He played his first game for them on 14 August 2012. Birmingham City won 5–1 against Barnet in the League Cup.
He scored his first league goal on 17 November 2012. It was a fantastic volley against Hull City.
Back at West Ham United
Morrison returned to West Ham United for the 2013–14 season. He scored his first goal for West Ham on 27 August 2013. This was in a League Cup win against Cheltenham Town.
On 21 September 2013, he scored his first Premier League goal against Everton. On 6 October 2013, he scored a third goal in a 3–0 win against Tottenham Hotspur. Manager Sam Allardyce called it a "genius goal." It later won West Ham's "Goal of the Season" award.
Loan to Queens Park Rangers
On 19 February 2014, Morrison joined Queens Park Rangers on a 93-day loan. He scored his first goals for QPR on 8 March 2014. He scored both goals in a 2–0 win against Birmingham City.
Morrison was part of the Queens Park Rangers team that won the 2014 Football League Championship play-off final. They beat Derby County 1–0 at Wembley on 24 May 2014.
Loan to Cardiff City
On 23 September 2014, Morrison went on a three-month loan to Cardiff City. He was named Man of the Match in his first game for the club against Blackpool. In December 2014, he returned to West Ham early. He had played seven games for Cardiff City.
Playing for Lazio
In January 2015, reports said Morrison had signed a four-year deal to join Italian club Lazio. His contract with West Ham United ended early in February 2015. He started training with Lazio soon after.
Morrison made his Lazio debut in a friendly match on 12 July 2015. He scored two goals and had two assists in a 14–0 win. His official debut for Lazio was on 26 August 2015. This was in a UEFA Champions League play-off match against Bayer Leverkusen.
Four days later, he played his first Serie A game. This was in a 4–0 loss to Chievo.
Loans to QPR and Atlas
On 31 January 2017, Morrison returned to Queens Park Rangers on loan. He played five games for them.
On 31 August 2017, Morrison joined Mexican club Atlas on loan. He was one of only two English players to have played in Liga MX.
Time at Östersund
In February 2019, Morrison trained with Swedish club Allsvenskan side Östersund. On 14 February, he signed a six-month contract with the club. He scored his first goal for Östersund on 3 March 2019. This was in a Svenska Cupen match.
Sheffield United and Middlesbrough Loan
In July 2019, manager Chris Wilder confirmed that Morrison was training with Sheffield United. On 16 July, he signed a one-year deal with the club.
On 31 January 2020, Morrison joined Middlesbrough on loan. He played for them for the rest of the 2019–20 season. He was released by Sheffield United when his contract ended.
Playing for ADO Den Haag
On 21 September 2020, Dutch club ADO Den Haag signed Morrison. He signed a contract until the end of the 2020–21 season. His contract ended early on 9 January 2021.
Time at Derby County
After playing in trial games, Morrison signed for Derby County on 7 August 2021. He signed a one-year contract. In his first game for Derby, he scored a goal against Salford City on 10 August 2021. He left the club when his contract ended in 2022.
Playing for D.C. United
In July 2022, Morrison joined Major League Soccer club D.C. United. He signed a one-and-a-half-year deal. He played his first game for D.C. on 31 July against Orlando City. Morrison scored his first goal on 28 August against Atlanta United.
Joining Precision
On 30 September 2024, Morrison joined UAE Second Division League club Precision FC.
International Career
Morrison played for England at various youth levels. These included the under-16, under-17, under-18, and under-21 teams.
He is also able to play for Jamaica. In November 2012, he thought about playing for Jamaica internationally. He made his England under-21 debut on 10 October 2013. This was in a 4–0 win against San Marino. He scored his first goals for the under-21 team in a 5–0 win against Lithuania.
In March 2018, he was invited to a training camp with Jamaica. He discussed changing his national team allegiance. In May 2019, Morrison was named in Jamaica's preliminary squad for the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup. He made his debut for Jamaica on 14 November 2020. This was in a friendly match against Saudi Arabia.
Morrison scored his first goal for Jamaica against Honduras on 30 March 2022. This was during a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification game.
Style of Play
Lazio director Igli Tare said that Morrison "has undoubted quality and is world class." His former Manchester United teammate Rio Ferdinand called Morrison the most talented young player he had ever seen.
His manager at West Ham, Sam Allardyce, said in 2017 that Morrison had great talent. Journalist Daniel Taylor described him as a player with "balance, speed, control, vision, flair." He was also strong with both feet and good at passing and scoring.
