Rebecca Renee Olstead (born on June 18, 1989) is an American actress and singer. She also works as a marriage and family therapist. Renee started acting when she was a child. She is well known for her roles in the TV shows Still Standing and The Secret Life of the American Teenager. Renee has also released four music albums, mostly featuring jazz music.

Early Life and Background
Renee Olstead was born in Kingwood, Texas. Her parents are Christopher Eric Olstead and Rebecca Lynn Jeffries. Renee has family roots from Norway. She also went to a theater school called Centre Stage. Her name is even mentioned on their website as a former student!
Acting Career Highlights
Renee began her acting journey as a child. She appeared in films and commercials starting at age eight. From 2002 to 2006, she played Lauren Miller in the TV sitcom Still Standing. Lauren was the middle sister in the show.
In 2002, Renee won a Young Artist Award for her role in Still Standing. This award was for Best Performance by a Young Actress in a TV Comedy Series. She also had a small role in the 2004 movie 13 Going on 30.
Renee later co-starred in the ABC Family series The Secret Life of the American Teenager. This show was about a teenager named Amy Juergens and her unexpected pregnancy. Renee played Madison Cooperstein, one of Amy's best friends.
More recently, Renee starred in two thriller films. She played Kaitlan in the 2013 movie The Midnight Game. In 2014, she appeared as Jess Felton in the technology-themed film Unfriended.
Singing Career and Music
In 2004, Renee Olstead released her self-titled album. It featured jazz songs and pop standards. This album was released by Warner Bros. Records and received good reviews. Even though she had released music before, this album was seen as her official start.
Renee performed in Berlin during the Live 8 concert on July 2, 2005. She also recorded music with trumpeter Chris Botti. This was for his 2005 album To Love Again: The Duets. She also appeared on his 2006 DVD, Chris Botti Live with Orchestra and Special Guests.
Renee's singing style is inspired by famous jazz singers. These include Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan. Composer David Foster reportedly discovered her musical talent. He also produced her 2004 album. Renee later performed with him on The Oprah Winfrey Show.
Her next album, Skylark, was also produced by David Foster. It was planned for release in 2005 but was delayed several times. It finally came out on January 27, 2009. This was almost four years after it was first announced.
Personal Life and Interests
Renee was married to pianist Tommy King. She used his last name for a while. They later divorced in 2020. In 2016, as Renee King, she won the Ms. West Coast title at the Miss West Coast pageant. She is now married to Timothy Faust.
Renee is a vegan. This means she does not eat any animal products. She appeared in an advertisement for PETA. The ad was called Fish Are Friends Not Food. In it, she encouraged her fans to become vegan too.
