Richard William Farnsworth (born September 1, 1920 – died October 6, 2000) was an American actor and stuntman. He was famous for his roles in movies like The Grey Fox, Anne of Green Gables, and Misery. Richard Farnsworth was nominated for an Academy Award twice. He was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in 1978 for Comes a Horseman. In 2000, he was nominated for Best Actor for The Straight Story. At that time, he was the oldest person ever nominated for that award.
