Where is Richmond Located?
Richmond village is in the eastern part of Chittenden County. It sits mostly on the north side of the Winooski River, with a small part on the south side.
How Do People Travel to Richmond?
U.S. Route 2 goes right through the village. It is known as Main Street. Interstate 89 runs along the northern edge of the community. You can get onto Interstate 89 from Exit 11, which connects to Route 2.
Both of these highways can take you to bigger cities. If you go northwest about 12 miles (19 km), you will reach Burlington. Burlington is the largest city in Vermont. If you travel southeast about 25 miles (40 km), you will arrive in Montpelier, which is the state capital.
