Ricky Lumpkin, born on September 7, 1988, is a former American football player. He played as a defensive end. He played college football for the Kentucky Wildcats. He also went to Kenwood High School in Clarksville, Tennessee.
He was part of three NFL teams. These teams were the Arizona Cardinals, Oakland Raiders, and Indianapolis Colts. Today, he works as an academic counselor at the University of Kentucky.

Early Life in Football
Ricky Lumpkin played high school football for the Kenwood High School Knights. He was a very talented player.
In his senior year, he was named "Mr. Football" for his amazing skills. He made 101 tackles and 22 sacks. He also caused four fumbles. He was chosen for many important teams, like All-State.
College Football Career
Ricky played college football for the Kentucky Wildcats. He was on the team from 2007 to 2010. In 2006, he was "redshirted." This means he practiced with the team but did not play in games.
He played in 44 games during his college career. He started 29 of those games.
Playing in the NFL
Ricky Lumpkin signed with the Arizona Cardinals in 2011. This happened after the 2011 NFL draft, where he was not chosen. He was later released by the Cardinals. However, he was signed to their practice squad.
