Rivaz is a small town, also called a municipality, in Switzerland. It is located in the Vaud canton, which is like a state or region. Rivaz is part of the Lavaux-Oron District. It is known for its beautiful vineyards and its location right by Lake Geneva.

Rivaz is a very small place, covering only about 0.31 square kilometers (0.12 square miles). A large part of this area, about 67.7%, is used for farming, especially for growing grapes in vineyards.
About 22.6% of the land has buildings or roads on it. A small part, about 6.5%, is covered by rivers or lakes. The municipality used to be part of the Lavaux District. In 2006, it became part of the new Lavaux-Oron district.
