Robert C. "Rob" Evans is a well-known American Christian musician. He writes and performs songs especially for children. Many people know him best as The Donut Man. He became famous for his fun sing-along songs and videos. These were often made with Integrity Music. His DVDs have sold millions of copies, earning gold and platinum awards. He got the name "The Donut Man" from one of his early songs. This song said, "Life without Jesus is like a donut; there's a hole in the middle of your heart."

Early Life and Music Journey
Rob Evans was born in Paoli, Pennsylvania. His parents were Presbyterian. He finished high school in 1971. When he was 19, he met his future wife, Shelley Tait. Around this time, he became a Pentecostal Christian. He went to Rutgers University for a while. However, he decided to become a carpenter instead of finishing college.
The Donut Man's Adventures
The "Donut Repair Club" began in 1981. Rob Evans took on the role of "The Donut Man." He used the hole in a donut to show something missing in life. He taught that Jesus could fill this "hole." Over the years, Rob Evans and his Donut Repair Club became very popular. They sold over 6 million CDs and DVDs. They also performed more than 2,500 concerts in churches.
Rob Evans still sings in churches today. He shares Bible stories through his songs. He helps kids and families imagine being the characters in the Bible. The Donut Man has a fun sidekick named Duncan the Donut. Duncan is a foam puppet made by Axtell Expressions. Steve Axtell, who created Duncan, also does his voice. A New Path in Faith
In 2006, Rob Evans, his wife, and one of their daughters joined the Catholic Church. This happened during Easter. Since then, Rob Evans has studied a lot about the Catholic faith. He earned a special diploma from St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Philadelphia. He has continued to make Christian music for families and young children.
Rob Evans' Family Life
Rob Evans is married to Shelley Tait. They have six children. One of their daughters, Tonya, was adopted from Russia. Some of his children have even appeared in his Donut Repair Club videos. His daughters Jen and Mary, and his son Andy, were in several videos. His son Jesse and daughter Sarah were in "Donut Hole 1" and "Donut Hole 2." Rob Evans and his family currently live in Merion, Pennsylvania.
