Robert de Pinho de Souza, known simply as Robert, is a former professional football player from Brazil. He was born on February 27, 1981. Robert played as a striker, which means he was usually the main goal-scorer for his team.

Robert's Football Journey
Starting His Career
Robert began his professional football journey in Brazil with Botafogo de Ribeirão Preto in 2001. After that, he moved to São Caetano in 2002.
In 2003, Robert went to Russia to play for Spartak Moscow for a short time. He then returned to the Americas and joined Club Atlas in Mexico. He had a great first season with Atlas, scoring 16 goals in 21 games in 2004. He continued to play well, helping his team reach the semifinals of a big tournament.
Playing in Europe: PSV Eindhoven
In January 2005, Robert moved to Europe to play for PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands. He played in 32 league games and scored 7 goals.
Robert also played in the UEFA Champions League, which is a very important European club competition. He helped PSV reach the semifinals, where they played against AC Milan. Even though PSV didn't win, Robert played a strong game.
Time with Real Betis
Robert was loaned to Real Betis in Spain in January 2006. His goals were very important in helping Betis avoid being moved down to a lower league. He scored 7 goals in La Liga, Spain's top football league. This included two goals against Villarreal and a winning penalty against their rivals, Sevilla FC.
He also scored a goal in the UEFA Cup, another European competition. Robert became the top goal-scorer for Betis that season. He left Real Betis in July 2007.
Moving to Mexico and Brazil
After his time in Spain, Robert joined Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia in August 2007. Later that year, he moved to Mexico to play for Monterrey.
He then played for Tecos UAG in Mexico, where he scored 5 goals. After that, he joined Club America.
In July 2009, Robert returned to Brazil to play for Palmeiras. He was a key player for them, especially in 2010. He scored two goals against São Paulo and even scored a "perfect hat-trick" (scoring with his right foot, left foot, and head) against Santos. During this time, he became known as "Blade do Palestra" because he looked like the actor Wesley Snipes, who played the character Blade in movies.
Later Career
After Palmeiras, Robert continued to play for several clubs. In 2010, he joined Cruzeiro on loan. In 2011, he moved to Puebla in Mexico.
He also played for Jeju United in South Korea in 2011. Robert continued his career playing for various teams in Brazil and other countries until 2018. Some of these teams included Ceará, Necaxa, Fortaleza, Vitória, and Paraná. He also played for Gżira United in Malta.
Robert's long career shows his dedication to football, playing for many different clubs across several countries.
