Rome Fortune's Musical Style
What Inspires Rome Fortune's Music
Rome Fortune has shared that he is greatly influenced by rap music from the 1990s. He especially likes DMX. Rome Fortune says DMX's album Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood was the "rap album that changed [his] life."
He also gets ideas from jazz music. Rome Fortune believes that jazz is "pretty much parallel to hip-hop." This means he sees a lot of similarities between the two music styles.

Rome Fortune likes to explore different sounds in his music. For his EP Small VVorld, he tried out electronic music. This EP features several songs produced by the British electronic artist Four Tet.
