Rondae Jaquan Hollis-Jefferson (born January 3, 1995) is a professional basketball player. He plays for the TNT Tropang Giga team in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Rondae is an American who also became a Jordanian citizen.
He played college basketball for the Arizona Wildcats. After college, the Portland Trail Blazers picked him in the 2015 NBA draft. He played six seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Then, he played for teams outside the United States. He has won two championships with the TNT Tropang Giga. He was also named the Best Import of the Conference twice.

Early Life and High School Basketball
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson was born and grew up in Chester, Pennsylvania. His mother, Rylanda Hollis, worked hard to raise him. His older brother, Rahlir, also became a professional basketball player.
Rondae started playing basketball seriously when he was 12. He was very interested in playing defense. He was taller than other kids, which helped him score points.
He went to Chester High School. There, he had an amazing basketball career. He was the first player to be named Delaware County Player of the Year more than once. His team, the Clippers, had a perfect season once. In his last three years, they won 91 games and lost only 5. They also won two state titles.
In his final year, his team lost in the state championship game. Rondae finished his high school career with over 1,000 points. He also set a school record with 780 rebounds.
Rondae played in the 2013 McDonald's All-American Game. He also played in the Jordan Brand Classic. Experts ranked him as one of the top small forwards in his class. He chose to play college basketball for the University of Arizona.
College Career Highlights
In his first year at Arizona, Rondae became known for his strong play. He was a good scorer, rebounder, and shot-blocker. He started his college career with 10 points and 5 rebounds in his first game.
He usually played as the team's "sixth man," coming off the bench. But he became a starter later in the season. This happened after a teammate got injured. He was named to the Pac-12 All-Freshman Team. In his first year, he averaged 9.1 points and 5.7 rebounds per game.
In his second year, Rondae improved even more. He averaged 11.3 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. He became a better leader and offensive player. He was named first-team All-Pac-12. He also made the Pac-12 All-Defensive Team.
He helped his team reach the Elite Eight in the NCAA tournament twice. On April 7, 2015, Rondae decided to enter the 2015 NBA draft. This meant he would leave college two years early. His coach, Sean Miller, said he loved coaching Rondae.

Professional Basketball Career
Brooklyn Nets (2015–2019)
On June 25, 2015, the Portland Trail Blazers picked Rondae 23rd overall in the 2015 NBA draft. His draft rights were then traded to the Brooklyn Nets. He signed his first NBA contract with the Nets on July 6, 2015.
He played his first NBA game on October 28, 2015. He scored 8 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. On November 20, he had a great game with 13 points and 11 rebounds. In December, he had ankle surgery and missed some time. He returned to play in March.
On November 12, 2016, Rondae scored a career-high 20 points. He also tied his career high with 13 rebounds. This helped the Nets win against the Phoenix Suns.
On December 14, 2017, he scored a new career-high of 25 points. He missed 11 games in January and February 2018 due to a groin injury.
Rondae missed the first three games of the 2018–19 season. This was due to a hip injury and the birth of his first child. On November 28, 2018, he had 14 points and 11 rebounds. This was his first "double-double" of the season. On March 19, 2019, he made a game-winning shot with less than a second left. This gave the Nets a 123–121 win.
In June 2019, the Nets decided not to keep him. He became a free agent.
Toronto Raptors (2019–2020)
On July 18, 2019, Rondae signed with the Toronto Raptors. They were the champions at that time. He later signed a short contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves in December 2020 but was released soon after.
Portland Trail Blazers (2021)
On April 8, 2021, Rondae signed a 10-day contract with the Portland Trail Blazers. He signed two more contracts and stayed with the team for the rest of the season.
Playing Overseas (2021–Present)
After his time in the NBA, Rondae played for several teams outside the United States.
- In September 2021, he joined Beşiktaş Icrypex in Turkey. He scored a career-high 26 points in one game there.
- In April 2022, he signed with Atléticos de San Germán in Puerto Rico. He averaged almost 20 points per game. He returned to this team in May 2023.
- In February 2023, Rondae joined the TNT Tropang Giga in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He quickly became a key player, averaging over 30 points per game. He helped them win the 2023 PBA Governors' Cup. He was also named the Best Import of the Conference. He returned to the TNT Tropang Giga in August 2024. He helped them win their second straight Governors' Cup title. He scored 31 points in the final game.
National Team Career
On July 24, 2023, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson became a naturalized player for Jordan's national basketball team. This means he can play for Jordan even though he was born in the U.S.
He was part of Jordan's team for the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup. During the World Cup, many people compared his playing style to the famous player Kobe Bryant. The Philippines also wanted him to play for their national team, but he chose Jordan.
