To the west, Rossville shares a border with the city of Piperton. South of Rossville, you'll find Marshall County, Mississippi.
Land and Water Features
The town covers a total area of about 1.8 square miles (4.7 square kilometers). Most of this area, about 1.7 square miles (4.4 square kilometers), is land. A small part, about 0.1 square miles (0.26 square kilometers), is water. The Wolf River, which flows into the Mississippi River, runs along the northern edge of the town.
Main Roads and Transportation
- State Route 57 is the main highway that goes through Rossville. It heads east for about 8 miles (13 km) to Moscow. Going west through Piperton, it leads to Collierville, about 7 miles (11 km) away. Downtown Memphis is about 30 miles (48 km) to the west.
- State Route 194, also known as Main Street, goes north from State Route 57. It passes through the older parts of Rossville and continues north for about 15 miles (24 km) to Oakland.
Rossville is also located along the Norfolk Southern Railway. A new facility for moving goods between different types of transportation (like trains and trucks) opened southwest of the town in 2012.
