The Rostoul River is a beautiful river in Ontario, Canada. It flows through the Unorganized Kenora District, which is a large area in Northwestern Ontario without local government. This river is part of the huge Hudson Bay drainage basin, meaning its waters eventually flow into Hudson Bay. It is also a branch of the Gammon River and runs right through Woodland Caribou Provincial Park.

About the Rostoul River
The Rostoul River is an important waterway in a wild part of Ontario. It helps carry water from many smaller lakes and streams. This river is a key part of the local ecosystem. It supports various plants and animals that live in and around its waters.
Where Does It Flow?
The Rostoul River starts its journey at Embryo Lake. From there, it flows towards the southwest. It passes by the north side of Telescope Lake. The river then leaves Telescope Lake from its west side.
Lakes Along the Way
After Telescope Lake, the river heads west towards Optic Lake. It reaches the northeast end of Optic Lake. The river then leaves this lake from its west side. It continues to flow southwest.
The river then reaches the southeast end of Glenn Lake. It leaves Glenn Lake from the northwest. Next, it flows west to the southeast end of Hansen Lake. Here, another stream called Domain Creek joins the Rostoul River from the right side.
Joining Other Waters
The Rostoul River leaves Hansen Lake from the northwest. It then flows northwest to the southeast end of Rostoul Lake. At this point, Haven Creek joins the river from the left side. Finally, the river flows north. It reaches its end, or mouth, on the south side of Hammerhead Lake.
Journey to Hudson Bay
The water from the Rostoul River travels a long way. It flows into the Gammon River. From there, it joins the Bloodvein River. The Bloodvein River then empties into Lake Winnipeg. Finally, the water from Lake Winnipeg flows into the Nelson River. The Nelson River carries all this water all the way to Hudson Bay. This shows how all these rivers and lakes are connected.
