Rumer Glenn Willis (born August 16, 1988) is an American actress. She is the oldest daughter of famous actors Bruce Willis and Demi Moore. Rumer started her acting career in 1995 in the movie Now and Then, where she acted alongside her mother.

She has appeared in many movies, including Hostage (2005), The House Bunny (2008), and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019). On television, she played Gia Mannetti in the teen drama 90210 and Tory Ash in the musical show Empire.

In 2015, Rumer became famous for winning season 20 of the dance competition show Dancing with the Stars. That same year, she made her debut on Broadway, the famous theater district in New York City, starring as Roxie Hart in the musical Chicago.

Early Life and Family

Rumer Glenn Willis was born on August 16, 1988, in Paducah, Kentucky. Her father, actor Bruce Willis, was filming the movie In Country there at the time. She was named after the British author Rumer Godden.

She has two younger sisters, Scout LaRue Willis (born in 1991) and Tallulah Belle Willis (born in 1994). She also has two younger half-sisters from her father's marriage to model Emma Heming.

Rumer grew up in Hailey, Idaho. As a teenager, she attended the Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan and later the Wildwood Secondary School in Los Angeles, California. She also studied at the University of Southern California for one semester.

Rumer began acting as a child. In 1995, she appeared with her mother, Demi Moore, in the movie Now and Then. She has also worked with her father, Bruce Willis, three times in the movies The Whole Nine Yards (2000), Hostage (2005), and Air Strike (2018).

In 2008, she played Joanne in the hit comedy The House Bunny with Anna Faris and Emma Stone. She also starred in the horror movie Sorority Row (2009), which earned her a nomination at the Teen Choice Awards.

Rumer has appeared as a guest star on many TV shows, including CSI: NY, The Secret Life of the American Teenager, and Hawaii Five-0. From 2009 to 2010, she had a recurring role as Gia Mannetti in the popular teen drama 90210. From 2017 to 2018, she played the singer Tory Ash in the musical drama series Empire.

In 2019, Rumer showed off her singing talent on the competition show The Masked Singer. She performed as the "Lion" and finished in fifth place. Many people were impressed by her powerful voice.

Throughout the season, Rumer and Val received high scores from the judges. In the eighth week, they earned two perfect scores for their amazing performances.

On May 19, 2015, Rumer and Val were crowned the champions of the season. After their win, Rumer joined the "Dancing with the Stars: Perfect 10 Tour" and performed in 40 cities across the country.

Personal Life

From 2020 to 2024, Rumer was in a relationship with singer Derek Richard Thomas. In December 2022, she announced that they were expecting their first child. She gave birth to a daughter on April 18, 2023.
