Ruth Wendy Langsford (born on March 17, 1960) is a well-known English television presenter. She has hosted many popular TV shows. Ruth is famous for being the longest-serving presenter on This Morning. She also appeared on Loose Women and competed in Strictly Come Dancing.

Ruth Langsford's TV Career
Ruth Langsford started her career in television in the 1980s. She worked as an announcer and newscaster for a regional ITV station called Television South West (TSW) in Plymouth, England. She left TSW in 1993 when a new company took over.
Joining Loose Women
From 1999 to 2002, Ruth was a regular panel member on the ITV talk show Loose Women. She returned to the show in 2010 as a temporary host. Since 2014, she has been a regular host, taking turns with other presenters.
Presenting This Morning
In 2000, Ruth became a guest presenter on This Morning. By 2006, she became a regular host, making her the longest-serving presenter on the show. She often hosted with Phillip Schofield. Later, Eamonn Holmes joined her to co-host the Friday shows.
Other TV Shows and Appearances
Ruth has hosted many other shows throughout her career. She was a main presenter on TV Travel Shop from 1998 to 2005. She also presented shows like The Answer Lies in the Soil and Gardens of the Millennium.
In 2004, Ruth narrated a TV series called Zoo Story, which was about Paignton Zoo. She also guest-hosted five episodes of GMTV with Lorraine in 2010. Ruth even competed in cooking and talent shows like Marco's Kitchen Burnout and Born to Shine.

Dancing on Strictly Come Dancing
In 2017, Ruth took part in the fifteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing. Her professional dance partner was Anton du Beke. They danced well but were eliminated in November, finishing in ninth place.
Ruth Langsford's Other Work
Besides television, Ruth has done other interesting work. In 2010, she co-hosted a breakfast radio show on BBC London 94.9. She has also been a brand ambassador for companies like Playtex and Optegra.
Ruth has written columns for magazines such as Woman Magazine and Tesco Magazine. She also helped with two food campaigns for Tesco. In 2016, she was a judge for the Pride of Britain Awards.
Ruth Langsford's Personal Life
Ruth Langsford went to Grey Coat Hospital school in London. In 1996, she started dating fellow TV presenter Eamonn Holmes. They kept their relationship private for some years.
In 2002, Ruth and Eamonn had a son named Jack Alexander Holmes. They got married in Hampshire on June 26, 2010. The couple lived in Weybridge, Surrey. In May 2024, Ruth and Eamonn announced that they were separating after 14 years of marriage.
