SANAA facts for kids

SANAA (which stands for Sejima and Nishizawa and Associates) is a famous architecture company. It is based in Tokyo, Japan. Two talented architects, Kazuyo Sejima (born in 1956) and Ryūe Nishizawa (born in 1966), started it in 1995. They won a very important award called the Pritzker Prize in 2010.
SANAA has designed many amazing buildings around the world. Some of their well-known projects include the Glass Pavilion at the Toledo Museum of Art in Toledo, Ohio. They also designed the New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York. Other cool buildings are the Rolex Learning Center in Lausanne, Switzerland, and the Serpentine Pavilion in London. How SANAA Started and Grew
Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa created their company, SANAA, in 1995. They quickly became known for their unique designs. In 2004, they won the Golden Lion award. This was for their best work at a big architecture show in Venice, Italy.
Then, in 2010, they received the Pritzker Prize. This is one of the highest honors an architect can get. Kazuyo Sejima became only the second woman ever to win this special award.

Awards and Recognition
