Saahdiq Charles was born on July 26, 1999. He is an American professional football player. He plays as a guard for the Dallas Cowboys in the National Football League (NFL). Before joining the NFL, he played college football for the LSU Tigers. He was picked by the Washington Football Team in the 2020 NFL draft. Saahdiq was part of the LSU team that won the national championship in 2019.

Early Life and High School Football
Saahdiq Charles grew up in New Orleans. In 2005, his family had to move because of Hurricane Katrina. They lived in different cities like Houston and Montgomery, Alabama. Finally, they settled in Jackson, Mississippi.
Saahdiq went to Madison-Ridgeland Academy. There, he played on both the offensive and defensive lines for the football team. He was a highly rated player, known as a 4-star recruit. Many colleges wanted him to play for them. Saahdiq chose to play college football at LSU.
College Football Career
Saahdiq Charles played for the LSU Tigers from 2017 to 2019.
Freshman and Sophomore Years
In 2017, as a freshman, Saahdiq played in all 13 games for the Tigers. He started nine of those games. He was even named to the Southeastern Conference (SEC) All-Freshman team. This showed he was one of the best new players in the conference. In his second year, he started ten games as a left tackle.
Junior Year and National Championship
During his junior season, Saahdiq faced a challenge. He was suspended for some games due to team rules. But he came back strong. He started the last nine games of the season at left tackle. That year, the LSU Tigers won the 2019 National Championship. This was a huge win for the team. After this amazing season, Saahdiq decided to enter the 2020 NFL draft. He chose to go pro instead of playing his senior year.

Washington Team (2020–2023)
The Washington Redskins picked Saahdiq in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL draft. He was the 108th player chosen overall. He signed a four-year contract with the team.
- 2020 Season: Saahdiq missed the first five games because of an injury. He made his NFL debut in Week 6. He started as a left guard. However, he left the game early with a knee injury. This injury ended his first season.
- 2021 Season: In 2021, Saahdiq started his second career game. He played as a tackle in Week 8. He also played as a right guard in some games. He appeared in ten games during the season.
- 2022 Season: Saahdiq played in 13 games during the 2022 season. He started at right guard for three games. He was placed on injured reserve in January 2023.
- 2023 Season: In 2023, Saahdiq earned the starting left guard position. He played 11 games, all as a starter. He had a calf injury in Week 7 but returned later in the season.
Tennessee Titans (2024)
On March 15, 2024, Saahdiq Charles signed a one-year deal with the Tennessee Titans. He was expected to be the starting right guard. However, a few days later, he decided to retire from football. The Titans placed him on their reserve/retired list.
Dallas Cowboys (2025–Present)
On March 12, 2025, it was announced that Saahdiq Charles was coming out of retirement. The Titans then released him, making him a free agent. On April 9, 2025, Saahdiq signed a one-year deal with the Dallas Cowboys. He is currently playing for them.
