Early Wins and New Tricks
At 16, he won a silver medal in slopestyle at the European X Games in 2010. In February 2011, Kotsenburg achieved a major feat. Olympic Gold and Beyond
Kotsenburg's biggest win came at the 2014 Sochi Olympics. He won the slopestyle gold medal. During his winning run, he performed a trick he had never tried before. He also used an original grab he invented, called the "Holy Crail." This victory made him the first gold medalist of the 2014 Olympic Games.
