Samantha Anne Bee (born October 25, 1969) is a Canadian-American comedian, writer, producer, actress, and television host. She is known for her smart and funny takes on news and politics.
Bee first became famous as a correspondent on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. She was a regular on the show for 12 years, making her its longest-serving correspondent. In 2015, she left to create her own show, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee. The show ran until 2022.

Early Life and Education
Samantha Bee was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Her parents, Debra and Ronald Bee, separated shortly after she was born. Bee was raised by her grandmother. She went to a Catholic school where her grandmother worked as a secretary.
After high school, Bee went to McGill University to study humanities. She later transferred to the University of Ottawa. There, she took a theatre class and discovered she loved performing. This led her to enroll in the George Brown Theatre School in Toronto to study acting.

Bee began her career by auditioning for acting roles in Toronto while working as a waitress. One of her first big roles was playing the main character in a stage show of Sailor Moon. Her future husband, Jason Jones, was also in the show.
