Sappa Creek is a stream located in the middle of the Great Plains in North America. It's a smaller river, called a tributary, that flows into the Republican River. Sappa Creek travels about 150 miles (240 km) through two U.S. states: Kansas and Nebraska.
About Sappa Creek
Sappa Creek starts in the High Plains area of northwest Kansas. It actually begins when two smaller streams, called the North Fork Sappa Creek and South Fork Sappa Creek, join together. This meeting point is about 3.5 miles (5.6 km) southwest of a town called Oberlin, Kansas, in Decatur County.
From there, Sappa Creek generally flows towards the northeast. It crosses into south-central Nebraska. Finally, in the western part of Harlan County, Nebraska, Sappa Creek meets and joins the Republican River.
