Schuyler Falls is a small town located in Clinton County, New York, in the United States. In 2010, about 5,181 people lived here. The town got its name from Peter Schuyler. He bought a mill on the Salmon River from Zephaniah Platt.
Schuyler Falls is in the middle-southern part of Clinton County. It is located southwest of the city of Plattsburgh.

History of Schuyler Falls
The area where Schuyler Falls is located was first settled around 1794. Ezra Turner was one of the first people to settle there. He built the very first sawmill in 1801 near the Salmon River.
The town of Schuyler Falls was officially formed in 1848. It was created from a part of the larger town of Plattsburgh.
Geography of Schuyler Falls
Schuyler Falls covers a total area of about 95.4 square kilometers (36.8 square miles). Most of this area, about 94.6 square kilometers (36.5 square miles), is land. The remaining 0.8 square kilometers (0.3 square miles) is water.
The Saranac River forms the northern border of the town. On the other side of this river is the town of Plattsburgh. The Salmon River flows through the southern part of Schuyler Falls. It is about 1 mile north of the border with the town of Peru. Both the Saranac and Salmon Rivers flow east into Lake Champlain.
New York State Route 22B is a main road in the town. It runs from north to south. This highway starts as an east-west road in the small community of Morrisonville.

- Rock Corners – Another small community located north of Schuyler Falls village.
- Salmon River – An important river that flows through the southern part of the town. It runs through the community of Schuyler Falls.
- Schuyler Falls – This is the main community or hamlet of Schuyler Falls. It is located on NY Route 22B. People say it was founded in 1641. It was once an official village in 1758, but it is not an incorporated village anymore.
- Woods Mill – A small community in the northwestern part of the town. It is west of Morrisonville and near the Saranac River.

- Calvin Bridges (1889–1938) – He was a geneticist, which is a scientist who studies genes. Calvin Bridges was born in Schuyler Falls.
- Joseph S. Sterling (1878-1959) – He was a businessman and entrepreneur. He owned and operated the Alaska Silver Fox & Fur Company. This company had branches in Schuyler Falls, Au Sable Chasm, and Lake Placid.
