Robert Scott Adsit (born November 26, 1965) is an American actor, comedian, and writer. He grew up in the Chicago area. Scott Adsit is famous for playing Pete Hornberger on the TV show 30 Rock. He also voiced the lovable robot Baymax in the Disney movie Big Hero 6.
Adsit joined the main cast of Chicago's famous comedy group, The Second City, in 1994. He had attended Columbia College Chicago before that. He won an award for his acting in a show called Paradigm Lost.
From 2005 to 2008, he helped create the animated TV show Moral Orel for Adult Swim. He co-directed, co-wrote, and co-produced it. He also voiced several characters, including Orel's father, Clay Puppington. He was even nominated for an Annie Award for his voice work. After Moral Orel, Adsit worked on another stop-motion show called Mary Shelley's Frankenhole.

About Scott Adsit's Early Life
Scott Adsit was born in Northbrook, Illinois, on November 26, 1965. His mother was Genevieve "Genny" Adsit, and his father was Andrew Scott Adsit, a lawyer.
He went to Glenbrook North High School. Scott remembers being "a bit of a class clown" there. He then attended Columbia College Chicago. His acting teacher, Sheldon Patinkin, told him to join The Second City. This was a famous improv comedy group in Chicago.

Starting at The Second City
Scott Adsit joined The Second City in 1987. He became part of their main performing group in 1994. He was in several shows that won awards, like Piñata Full of Bees and Paradigm Lost. For Paradigm Lost, he won an award for Best Actor in a Comedy.
A funny sketch he did with Adam McKay was called "Gump." It was chosen as one of The Second City's best sketches ever. In 1997, Adsit was in a TV show about how The Second City created their shows. His castmates included Tina Fey and Rachel Dratch.
In 1997, Adsit also did voice work for a pinball machine called Medieval Madness. He helped write the funny lines for the game too.
Moving to Los Angeles and Early TV Roles
In 1998, Scott Adsit moved to Los Angeles. A college friend, Dino Stamatopoulos, asked him to work on a TV show idea. The show didn't happen, but Adsit stayed in California. He started getting small roles in TV shows and commercials.
That same year, he was a cast member in the comedy show Mr. Show. He also appeared in the HBO show Tenacious D. In 2001, he was in an episode of Friends.
Voice Acting and 30 Rock
From 2005 to 2008, Scott Adsit worked on the Adult Swim show Moral Orel. He was a director, writer, and producer. He also voiced many characters, including Orel's dad, Clay Puppington. He was nominated for an Annie Award for his voice acting. Adsit also had a small part in The Office and the movie Kicking & Screaming.
In 2005, his friend and former castmate, Tina Fey, called him. She told him she was writing a part for him in a new TV show. Adsit chose to work with Tina Fey, even though he also had an offer for another show.
In 2006, he joined the cast of 30 Rock. He played Pete Hornberger, a kind but often worried producer. The show was very popular and won many awards. It ran for seven seasons.
More Animation and Voice Work
After Moral Orel was a success, Adsit and Dino Stamatopoulos worked together again. They created another stop-motion animation show called Mary Shelley's Frankenhole. Adsit directed, wrote, produced, and voiced many characters in this show too.
In 2012, a character named Agent Scott Adsit appeared in the Marvel comic book Deadpool. This character has appeared many times since then.
Scott Adsit is widely known for voicing the friendly robot Baymax in the 2014 Disney animated movie Big Hero 6. The movie's producer, Roy Conli, said that Scott was very funny. He made Baymax's emotions and humor shine through, even though Baymax is a robot. Adsit continued to voice Baymax in Big Hero 6: The Series (2017–2021) and the Disney+ show Baymax!.
Adsit also had a role in the TV show The Heart, She Holler as a sheriff. He played Sheriff Ridge in a podcast series called Wolverine: The Long Night. He also had a recurring role as a news anchor in the TV show Veep.
