Sealab 2020 is an exciting American animated TV show. It was made by Hanna-Barbera Productions and shown on NBC on Saturday mornings. The show first aired on September 9, 1972, and ran until December 2, 1972.
The series was created by Alex Toth. He also created other famous Hanna-Barbera cartoons like Space Ghost. There were 13 episodes shown, but two more were made that never aired. Sometimes, you can still catch Sealab 2020 on Boomerang. This channel often shows classic Hanna-Barbera cartoons. Later, from 2000 to 2005, a funny version of the show called Sealab 2021 was made for Cartoon Network's Adult Swim.

About Sealab 2020
This cartoon takes place in the year 2020. It is set at Sealab, a special underwater research base. Sealab is located on a large underwater mountain called the Challenger seamount.
What's the Story?
Sealab is home to 250 people. They live and work deep under the ocean. Their main goals are to explore the seas and protect all the amazing sea creatures. Captain Michael Murphy leads the Sealab crew.
Dr. Paul Williams is a Chinook oceanographer. He is in charge of the science team. The crew faces many challenges in their underwater home. They deal with attacks from dangerous animals like sharks and giant squids. They also work to prevent environmental problems. Sometimes, they even have to protect Sealab and marine life from ships.
