Shanag was a small meat-eating dinosaur. It lived long ago during the Early Cretaceous period. This dinosaur was a type of dromaeosaur, just like its famous cousin, the Velociraptor.

When fully grown, Shanag was about 1.5 meters (about 5 feet) long. It weighed around five kilograms (about 11 pounds).

About Shanag

Shanag was a fascinating dinosaur. Its name comes from a Mongolian word. Scientists found its fossils in Mongolia. This discovery helped us learn more about dromaeosaurs.

What Was Shanag Like?

Shanag was a carnivore. This means it ate other animals. It likely hunted small creatures. Its size suggests it was quick and agile. Dromaeosaurs are known for their sharp claws. They also had a special claw on their foot.

When Did Shanag Live?

Shanag lived during the Early Cretaceous period. This was about 130 million years ago. Dinosaurs were the main animals on Earth then. The world was very different from today.
